MPs' Expenses

Just so you know- we've been working on some updates to the site, as well as a new tool to help with the selection of general election candidates, both of which will hopefully be ready for general release after the bank holiday. We'll be emailing you about these developments, and how they're going to help us do something constructive in response to the present expenses crisis, early next week.

Team up with DSAI!

Reassuringly, we're not the only organisation out there trying to persuade people that we can make a difference, if only we can persuade enough people we can make a difference. If you're involved with a progressive group in the UK that you'd like to bring to the attention of our members, or if you've spotted an organisation you think we should team up with, check out our new network page!

Propose a campaign

Over recent weeks, we've had a number of individuals and organisations contact us suggesting campaigns for us to run, or asking us to support campaigns run by other organisations. We've put some guidelines up on the website, and a form you can fill in to streamline the process. You can access the page through the Do Something tab, or by clicking here.

Recognise mistakes were made - and get on with it

On Wednesday, we launched a new campaign, calling for both Labour and the Conservatives to recognise the mistakes they made in the run-up to the present economic crisis.
Vote!

Voting has begun to decide DoSomethingAboutIt.org.uk's campaign priorities for the next few months. Based on your feedback, we've come up with a list of six areas where you want to see action: the economy, the environment, military spending, defending civil liberties, protecting public services, and reforming our political system itself. It would be great if you could take a minute to tell us which three are most important to you- and there's space for you to add anything you think we're overlooking. Over the last 24 hours, registered members should have received an email entitled 'Vote Now', which contains a link to your personal ballot page. If you have not received the message, or if you have misplaced it, you can get another copy by clicking here.
